I have loved writing for years, but have never worked up the nerve to pursue it in any real form. After I graduated from Bethany College in 1992, I was accepted to the writing program at the University of Alaska in Anchorage. I had decided not to move that far away from home once my two friends backed out of moving to Alaska with me, and as Fate would have it I would have had to leave school due to a family emergency anyway.
But, here I am several years later and I find myself in graduate school for creative writing. I believe things happen for a reason, so maybe I am supposed to enter the writing arena now that I have lived a bit.
